On behalf of our Partner, SOS Children’s Villages in Greece, we are looking for an experienced and dynamic:

Loyalty and Database Officer

SOS Children’s Villages Greece is a member of SOS Children’s Villages International, which is currently active in 136 countries. SOS Children’s Villages have been operating in Greece since 1975, with the aim to help children and young people who have lost or are at risk of losing parental care.

 

The main duties of this role include:

  • Develop and implement donor retention strategies, with a strong focus on regular donors/committed givers, in coordination with the Department Director.
  • Manage donor interactions via telephone for retention, upgrades, downgrades, reactivation, conversion, and data collection within Face-to-Face and other acquisition campaigns.
  • Support CRM management, including data entry, donor updates, return file processing, reporting, and data analysis.
  • Oversee pre- and post-campaign processes, ensuring accuracy in donor data entry and adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Coordinate with acquisition channels (Face-to-Face, Telemarketing, Digital) to optimize donor insertion, retention, and donation processes.
  • Provide administrative support, including mailing retention materials, managing data requests, organizing forms, and reinforcing donation appeals across various channels (mail, email, SMS).
  • Collaborate with external donor acquisition agencies and consultants, including support and internal training.
  • Analyze campaign performance, generate reports, and track results against objectives, with regular updates to department management.
  • Identify and implement strategic initiatives to reduce donor attrition and improve retention, ensuring prompt responses to underperformance and proactive solution management.
  • Prepare and submit Direct Debit files from CRM to the bank.

 

Additional duties:

  • Participate in recruitment processes for the fundraising team, particularly in Retention and Database Management.
  • Lead and motivate the loyalty team by organizing and overseeing calls, managing donor data and archives, conducting performance evaluations, setting individual and team goals, and fostering a positive and results-driven work environment.
  • Support and supervise volunteers within the department.
  • Assist in other departmental activities as needed, such as events.
  • Contribute proactively to the department’s overall efficiency and success.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant fields such as Business Administration, Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Sociology, or Social Policy.
  • Previous experience in the Face-to-Face (F2F) Project, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Experience in call centers/telemarketing (preferred).
  • Passion for fundraising and alignment with the mission and values of SOS Children’s Villages.
  • Enjoyment of interacting with people over the phone and in person.
  • Highly responsible and autonomous, with strong reliability and punctuality.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Exceptional communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  • Strong leadership skills, with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to manage stress effectively.

 

Location: Athens, Greece

Type: Full Time

Contract Type: Fixed-term contract, with the possibility of renewal.

Salary and training: Competitive salary and training for the role, plus a bonus based on annual results.
