On behalf of our Partner, a well-established Environmental Consulting company based in Athens, we are seeking a Junior Environmental Consultant to join its Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) team.
The company has a leading presence in the environmental consulting sector, delivering specialized services for industrial, mining, and infrastructure projects across Greece. This role offers an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to further develop their expertise in Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental licensing, and environmental consulting, while working alongside experienced professionals on demanding and technically challenging projects.
The main duties of this role include:
- Supporting the preparation and coordination of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and other environmental studies for industrial, mining, and infrastructure projects.
- Collecting, evaluating, and processing technical, environmental, and regulatory information required for environmental studies and permitting procedures.
- Preparing technical reports, environmental documentation, and project deliverables in Greek and English.
- Producing and editing project figures, drawings, and supporting material using AutoCAD 2D and QGIS.
- Participating in site visits and field inspections when required.
- Monitoring environmental legislation, licensing requirements, and regulatory developments.
- Collaborating closely with senior consultants and project managers to ensure the timely and high-quality delivery of environmental projects.
Qualifications include:
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mining & Metallurgical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
- 1-3 years of professional experience in environmental consulting, environmental studies, technical documentation, engineering consulting, permitting, or a related field will be considered a strong asset.
- Excellent command of the Greek language, with proven ability to prepare clear, structured, and high-quality technical reports.
- Very good command of the English language, both written and verbal.
- Very good knowledge of MS Office applications.
- Professional working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D and QGIS.
- Possession of a valid driver’s license and availability for occasional travel outside Athens.
- Completion of military obligations (for male candidates).
