On behalf of our Partner, a well-established Environmental Consulting services company, we are seeking an experienced IT Specialist – GIS Technician to participate in a significant 2-year project with the possibility of extension of 1 year. The project is located to Ptolemaida area and offers an excellent opportunity for professional development in a dynamic environment.
The firm has a leading role in the sector of environmental management as, through its projects, it has significantly contributed to the improvement of the quality of services in the field.
The main duties of this role include:
- Development and maintenance of IT infrastructure supporting Geographic Information Systems (GIS) including servers, databases, and backup systems.
- Organize and implement IT applications in GIS projects for analysis of spatial data and creation of maps, including programming activities.
- Technical support for GIS applications and users.
- Physical presence at the facilities in Ptolemaida.
Qualifications include:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in the field of IT services for GIS applications.
- Good knowledge of English.
- Proficiency in GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS).
- Completion of military service for male candidates.
Nice to have:
- Experience in programming and development of geospatial software.
- Master’s degree in GIS applications.
- Experience in programming with Python or R or C++.
