On behalf of our Partner, Sympraxis Team, a well-established Team of Experts based in Athens, which provides Sustainability and ESG services, we are looking for a Finance Admin Specialist (Maternity Leave Cover).

The firm supports the establishment and operation of effective partnerships involving private businesses, public sector organizations and NGOs, leading to innovative and valuable contributions for the environment and society. We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Finance Admin Specialist to join a dynamic team on a temporary basis to cover maternity leave.

The Role:

The Finance Admin Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Finance department with administrative and financial tasks. This role ensures that all financial processes are managed efficiently and accurately, maintaining the integrity of the company’s financial data.

The main duties of this role include:

      Financial Administration:

  • Process and reconcile invoices, payments, and expense reports.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Support the Finance Manager with budgeting and forecasting activities.

 

      Accounts Payable and Receivable:

  • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices and follow up on outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.

 

      Payroll Administration:

  • Assist with the preparation and processing of payroll.
  • Ensure compliance with payroll regulations and company policies.

 

      Compliance and Audit Support:

  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.

 

      Administrative Support:

  • Maintain financial filing systems and ensure all documentation is accurate and up to date.
  • Provide administrative support to the Finance Manager and team as needed.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar finance or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., Epsilonnet pylon) is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work under pressure.
