On behalf of our partner, a leading company in Northern Greece, we are currently seeking an experienced and talented Community Liaison Coordinator for firm’s premises in Alexandroupoli, Eastern Macedonia and Thrace.
The Role:
The Community Liaison Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact between an organization and the communities in which our client operates. This role involves fostering relationships, facilitating communication, and ensuring community needs and feedback are addressed. The Community Liaison Coordinator will work across various community settings, engaging with residents, stakeholders, local organizations, and other entities to support and enhance community involvement and cohesion. The coordinator will manage community projects, outreach programs, and facilitate the Community of Interest Committee to ensure firm’s initiatives align with community needs.
The main duties of this role include:
- Develop and implement strategies to effectively communicate with residents, local organizations, authorities, and businesses.
- Maintain a consistent presence in the community to build trust and relationships with key stakeholders.
- Serve as the main point of contact for community inquiries, feedback, and concerns, ensuring timely responses.
- Plan and execute outreach events, workshops, and meetings to promote company initiatives, gather feedback, and provide updates.
- Organize consultation meetings and workshops to engage stakeholders and promote awareness of company initiatives and community development plans.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align community engagement efforts with overall company goals and messaging.
- Ensure that affected communities are informed about the Project, its activities, impacts and mitigation measures, ensuring that stakeholders’ comments/questions and their concerns are considered and answered.
- Track local media sentiment, manage grievances, and report on community engagement outcomes to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
Additional duties of this role include:
- Keep detailed documentation of community interactions, meetings, and project specifics to ensure accountability and transparency.
- Develop comprehensive reports and presentations summarizing community activities, feedback, and project outcomes for stakeholders.
- Assist other departments with community-related matters, fostering a cohesive approach to community engagement.
- Design and distribute promotional materials for community events and programs to enhance visibility and participation.
- Engage in outreach efforts, such as surveys and focus groups, to assess community needs and raise awareness of organizational initiatives.
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate social responsibility programs that positively impact the community.
- Serve as a spokesperson during community crises, monitor regulatory compliance, and regularly assess the social, economic, and environmental impacts of company operations on the community.
Qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, communications, public relations, community development, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in community engagement, outreach, or related roles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse audiences.
- Very good written and verbal communication skills in Greek and English language.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to act as a team player, collaborating effectively with colleagues and community members.
- Proficiency in using MS Office and community engagement tools.
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of local area/community relevant to the company’s operations is a plus.
