On behalf of our Partner, Hellas Gold S.A., we are currently seeking an experienced and talented Communications Officer for its premises in Northern Greece.

Hellas Gold S.A. is a gold and base metals producer with mining operations in Halkidiki and one of the largest investors in Greece. The Company’s activities involve all facets of mining, including exploration, development, production and rehabilitation. Since 2003, the company develops and operates its assets under the highest environmental and safety standards. The Role:

The Communications Officer is responsible for the coordination and effective implementation of a wide range of internal and external communication initiatives for the company’s assets in Halkidiki.

 

Reporting line: The role reports to the HR Director and Director of Corporate Affairs & Communications.

 

The main duties of this role include:

  • Establish collaborative working relationships with internal teams and local stakeholders to achieve information flow, promote open communication and maximize engagement and feedback.
  • Proactively seek out and identify compelling stories from across the organization through interviews, site visits, and research.
  • Write and manage content and layout that contextualize corporate messaging for a variety of communication channels, including intranet, company-wide emails/newsletters, internal articles, social media, etc. ensuring consistency of messaging.
  • Use multimedia and digital tools to develop engaging content for internal and external audiences.
  • Support the implementation and evaluate the effectiveness of internal and external stakeholder activities ensuring unified, timely and consistent communications across different stakeholders.
  • Manage the planning and development of all internal events maximizing staff engagement and effective delivery of messaging.
  • Manage external specialists appointed to assist in communication activities, and ensure that they meet agreed standards, specifications and deadlines.

 

Qualifications include:

  • Degree in Communications, Journalism, PR or a related field.
  • Proven experience in content creation, journalism, or communications.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Strong storytelling abilities.
  • Experience in multimedia content creation and social media management; skilled in designing infographics, newsletters, and presentations (PPT).
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to network, build rapport, and work effectively across different teams and levels.
  • Critical thinking, attention to detail, and integrity; ability to identify communication opportunities and act with professionalism and ethical responsibility.
